Worm Gearbox Series
From lightweight aluminium housings to precision servo-grade units, our five worm gearbox lines cover every industrial application and budget.

Aluminum Series Worm Gear Reducers
NMRV standard aluminium alloy housing — lightweight, self-locking, and dimensionally interchangeable with global NMRV brands. Ideal for conveyors, packaging and positioning drives.

WP Series Worm Gearbox
Cast iron housing for continuous-duty industrial applications where robustness, thermal capacity and high torque output are critical requirements.

RV Series Worm Gearbox
Compact square-flange aluminium worm reducers designed for tight installation spaces. Popular in automated machinery, food processing and material handling.

Low Backlash Right Angle Servo
Precision right-angle worm reducers engineered for servo and stepper motor direct-mount. Ground gears with tight backlash for positioning and indexing applications.

Non-Standard Worm Gearbox
Custom-engineered worm gear units for OEM applications where standard catalogue dimensions, ratios or materials do not meet the design specification.

Are your NMRV worm reducers interchangeable with Bonfiglioli or Motovario?
Yes. Our aluminium worm reducers are manufactured to the internationally standardised NMRV flange and shaft dimensions, making them dimensionally interchangeable with Bonfiglioli VF/W series, Motovario VSF series, Transtecno and other NMRV-compliant brands. These are OEM replacement parts, not original factory parts. Always verify the frame size (NMRV 025, 030, 040, 050, 063, 075, 090, 110, 130, 150) and gear ratio when ordering a replacement.
What is the ratio range for NMRV aluminium worm reducers?
Standard single-stage NMRV aluminium worm reducers are available in ratios from 5:1 to 100:1. Double-stage configurations (two NMRV units in series) extend this to approximately 2,500:1. Common single-stage ratios are 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80 and 100. The required ratio equals your motor input speed divided by the desired output shaft speed.
What is the difference between the WP cast iron series and the NMRV aluminium series?
The WP cast iron series is designed for higher thermal capacity and heavier continuous-duty applications. Cast iron dissipates heat more efficiently than aluminium, allowing sustained operation at higher ambient temperatures or duty cycles. The WP series also offers larger frame sizes with higher output torque capacity (up to 8,000 N·m vs 1,500 N·m for NMRV). NMRV aluminium units are lighter, more compact and suitable for moderate-duty applications where weight and installation space are constraints.
Do you supply non-standard or custom worm gearboxes?
Yes. Our engineering team can accommodate non-standard shaft sizes, special mounting flanges, stainless steel housings for food or washdown environments, modified gear ratios and dual output shaft configurations. Minimum order quantities and lead times (typically 6–10 weeks from order confirmation) apply for custom variants. Contact our team with your full specification requirements.
What lubrication do NMRV worm reducers require?
NMRV aluminium worm reducers are factory-filled with synthetic gear oil (ISO VG 220 equivalent) and are generally considered sealed-for-life in standard applications at rated loads and ambient temperatures up to 40°C. For WP cast iron units and larger helical-worm configurations, periodic oil changes are required — typically at 2,500 operating hours or annually. Always refer to the product datasheet for the recommended lubricant type and fill quantity for the specific mounting orientation.
