This PTO drive shaft is engineered as a direct-fit replacement for Alloway (Woods) center-drive flail shredders spanning the full S-series lineup: S15CD, S20CD, S22CD, S25CD, and S27CD. Built around a 55N splined profile, the shaft transfers rotational power from the tractor to the shredder gearbox at either 540 RPM (6-spline, 1-3\/8 in. diameter) or 1,000 RPM (21-spline, 1-3\/8 in. diameter), matching ISO 500 and ASAE standards used industry-wide.<\/p>\n

These universal PTO shaft assemblies support both hitch-mounted and towed configurations, covering 2-point, 3-point, and pull-type hookups. At the implement end, a friction-style torque-limiting clutch protects the drivetrain from overload spikes during heavy crop engagement. For shredders with non-grooved input shafts, a bolt-through interference-fit device (Part No. Y5991) is available to ensure a secure, slip-free connection without machining modifications.<\/p>\n
